She could spot the grazing herds from her high perch, which was thankfully upwind. Rising from her seated position, Saha started down the slope with eyes trained. She would have to be careful, hunting alone was always a challenge but if she could get a hold of a youngster, well, then she would have a few meals. As long as the parents didn't chase her. Buffalo were tricky prey.
The yellow she-wolf's eyes focused on a few young buffalo that were a ways away from the adults. Staying low as she trotted, Saha moved in on them. The grass was just the right shade to keep her camouflaged.
Almost. Almost there.

Saha bolted out of hiding, teeth snapping with the attempt to grab a hold of one of the calf's. Growling, the she-wolf chased after one, easily splitting it from the rest of the herd and chasing it further away.
Hopefully it doesn't decide to outrun me and just trips or wears out first.
