We could never really see it
The risk every night
It had been little over a week since they had been able to escape. The young miharu was confused, as it was, he was terrified at that. Yoite was losing all his strength, and there wasn't one thing he could do about it. His friend and lover had told him, that he should kill him when the time came, but did Miharu really have the guts to pull out that promise? He wasn't exactly the most amazing ninja in the world, and he definitely had no clue why the world had to be so unfair, maybe simply because he was so young? Though sometimes he refused to let that hinder him, in the end, what he saw in front of him, was his reality. Every step he took he was hoping, that something would change Yoite, would heal the albino, and everything would be alright, even though Miharu knew that wasn't going to be true, and it never would be.
When Miharu looked up, there wasn't any sign of anything other than the snow. It fell from the sky, and it covered the ground apart from a few tree's every now and then that were bare of leaves. Yoite the taller wolf leaned against Miharu's side, as the boy tried his best to support the heavily breathing wolf. Yoite was struggling with every step and it almost seemed as if the snow, went on forever, but Miharu didn't want to believe that. They were almost there, to the land they dreamed of, the land they could live together free of all the pain and suffering they had felt at home. And Miharu wouldn't have to be forced to rule something he nearly knew nothing about. His heart jumped when Yoite started to speak.
"You can stop now Miharu" He whispered shivering. As Miharu stopped, he found a small tree with a slope of snow in it setting Yoite in it. He seemed to blend in with the snow, it it wasn't for the blood that tainted his white paws. Miharu couldn't do anything, very much comfort his love. He was confused as to what he should do, he could feel his last moments approaching. But he didn't want to believe it, and in the back of his head, he slightly refused to do so. Yoite coughed wheezing before giving a smile towards Miharu. "You can leave now, I won't hate you, even if you didn't keep your promise." Miharu pulled his ears back towards his voice. No he couldn't admit defeat, he was yoite wasn't he?
"I can't do that Yoite, we have to keep going, we're almost there I can feel it." Miharu laughed a little bit, a chuckle filled with pain and hurt. Yoite closed his eyes, breathing more shallow now, as Miharu held back the tears pulling closer to his lover. He placed his nose on his cheek.
"Miharu, you have to live. You knew from the beginning it would never work. I am glad, that I got to meet someone like you. You made me feel like I was worth something, and that I had a purpose." Yoite stopped breathing after that. His body went limp and it almost seemed like he had fallen asleep, Miharu began to sob deeply. Pulling his paws over the back of the albino's fur.
"No no! It's not fair Yoite, I was supposed to kill you. It was me wasn't it? No, come back we have to keep going. YOITE!" Miharu screamed at the top of his lungs, unable to hold the pain in any longer. Tears streaming down the young ones face as he desperately clung to the body of his lost lover. Desperately trying to wake him up, to get him back, to make sure he lived. His red tipped tail flicked behind him. Sobbing as he starred and begged for what seemed like hours for someone, something to bring him back. Even though that, wouldn't ever happen.
Miharu spend two days, sleeping by Yoite's body. An empty shell created around his heart as he was forced to bury the man that had guided him into another path. Miharu lowered his head, skinny from not eating, weak from the pain he felt in his heart. But there was only one way to go right? Forward?
