Ranking System: If there are asterisks next to two or three consecutive entries, those entries are of equal rank, but are of different description.
Alpha--The Absolute: The alpha of YumeHaru is basically the leader of the entire territory. His role is to protect the land, create the laws, assess new members, discipline violators of the law, and other important tasks within the pack. The Alpha is the only wolf who sleeps in the Blossom Grove.
If the Alpha has a mate, whoever was either the next in line or the winner of a decisive rank battle is held as the true Alpha. The mate, however, is still above most lesser ranking wolves.
*Beta--Baron: The Beta of YumeHaru is the second-in-command in the pack. The Beta deals with important matters that are not yet important enough to be delivered to the Alpha. A Beta also is usually the wolf who oversees and appoints the Sigma.
Betas with mates are ranked similarly to the Alphas.
*Gamma(Guardian): The Guardian of YumeHaru is the wolf with the true, sole mission of protecting the pack. The Gamma oversees the appointing and training of the Chi rank. The Gamma is in charge over territory patrols.
Mates of Gamma usually do not receive any rank change.
*Delta(Doctor): The Delta is the head healer of the YumeHaru pack. His skills allow him to easily heal wounds and it is expected to understand and know many varieties of herbs and natural healing tactics. The Delta is the wolf who oversees and appoints the Kappa. Knights of the Round are treated by the Delta.
Mates of Delta usually do not receive any rank change
Epsilon(Elders): The Epsilon are wolves that were at one point members who have grown to old or crippled to actively serve the pack as expected. Instead, the Elders offer advice and knowledge to fellow wolves and each holds an equal voice in the Knights of the Round.
Rho(Revered): Rho are either Tau or Upsilon that the Alpha recognizes as important. While this wolf is not technically a member of the pack, he is to be treated as such until further notice.
*Chi(Champion): The Chi are the warriors of the pack, the wolves responsible with most of the hunting and any disputes between packs. Chi are expected to have adequate battle skills; these skills are assessed by the Gamma. The Chi are also expected to follow any orders the Gamma gives without question.
*Sigma(Scouts): Sigma are the scouts and spies of the pack. They are also responsible for being the mediators between packs when the Knights of the round are unable to be so themselves. The Sigma are expected to have adequate running and stealth abilities; these abilities are assessed by the Beta. The Sigma are also expected to follow any orders the Gamma gives without question.
*Kappa(Curers): The Kappa are the healers and medic of the pack. They are also required to be able to create basic battle strategy in case of coming conflict. The Kappa are expected to have an affinity for healing and this affinity is assessed by the Delta. The Kappa are also expected to follow any orders the Delta gives without question.
Iota(Inhabitants): The Iota are merely the members of the pack that haven't yet been granted higher rank by a Knight of the Round. Iota are often chosen to do menial tasks for higher ranking wolves.
Nu(Newborns): The Nu are any new born pups in the pack that are not yet able to care for themselves. Once such a state has been reached, the wolf receives the rank of Iota until further notice.
Upsilon(Unified): The Upsilon are member of sister pack that YumeHaru has formed an alliance with. In the case of a Upsilon lodging in the pack, they are to be treated with equal respect as any other Commoner. Upsilon are required to aid the pack in some way to repay the debt of staying within it.
Tau(Transients): Tau are wolves that were loners at one point but now wish to become a part of the YumeHaru pack. The Tau is to be treated with respect unless reason not to becomes apparent. The Alpha is the only wolf capable of lifting a Tau's rank to Iota.
Lambda(Laborers): Occasionally, the Alpha will require a Tau to become a Lambda before becoming a Iota. A Lambda must do whatever the Knight of the Round requires of him until the Alpha decides he has worked long enough to become an Iota.
Zeta(Zeroes): Wolves of this rank are wolves that have been exiled from ally packs and are looking for refuge here. These wolves usually don't receive Iota status but are occasionally risen in rank to Lambda.
Echelon 1(Knights of the Round)
All members of Echelon 1 other than the Alpha are members of The Knights of the Round, a group of powerful ranking wolves that the Alpha goes to for advice. Members of the Knights of the Round, excluding most Epsilon, are expected to do protect the pack and its members at any cost.
