After wandering through this so called graveyard for a week Frost begins to tire out. "Argh if only i took the southern route. If I can go for maybe a mile or two more i should be able to find a place of shelter at least." He gathers food which are small meager rabbits and mice which can support him for at least a day but if he rations it off he should be able to last for a week if he took it to extremes. Walking along he spots a pool of water which should be a rare site in this situation as he walks down to the pool of water and lays down in it to cool off. After traveling for more than a month his snow-like white coat had changed to a brownish color from all of the dust that he picked up. After spending time to wash off his coat he lays down to try and think of a path to take to get to a much colder area. "I am still confused as to how much the terrain has changed since the stories from what my parents told me. From what i was told this was one a lush and fruitful plain." He hears a twig snap and he darts his head to the direction only seeing a rabbit. "I will let this one go, it looks like only a little one and i dont want to cause harm to it." If it ever came to the point where he would need to kill even another wolf to protect himself he would as his fangs glisten in the moonlight. Frost knows that he is different but if he was ever to come across another wolf he hopes for a peaceful solution otherwise he would just walk. He sits there staring at the sky ondering in which direction he should go next.
Dust puffed out behind Nightmare as he trotted. He liked this graveyard, the piles of bones could easily be used as a food source. This place reminded him of the home he had made, in a place as dusty and scarce of plants, food, and water. A laughing scoff escaped his maw at a thought, the possible rainfalls probably aren't as bad here. Easily causing a large crevice to overflow and potentially drown any stuck.
Shaking his head, he sniffed the air as ears twitched. The air was still, he could hear the slight scurrying of rabbits and mice underground if he concentrated long enough. After a few minutes Nightmare broke out of his concentration and started walking again. He debated on calling out; if there were others out here and they heard him there was different possibilities as to who he might encounter.
His lips peeled back to reveal his teeth, if anyone showed up for a fight he'd meet them with just, if not more ferocity. Jumping up onto a pile of bones he had spotted, Nightmare raised his head and let out a long howl. Ending the call, gold eyes gazed out at the desert. There was doubt in his mind that another would reply. But even so, at least they would know they weren't the only ones out here.
Hearing a howl in the distance he returns with a howl so that he knows that there is more than one wolf in the area. "Now what would a wolf be doing in a place like this? I have a home here but it is more like a bone cave." Realizing that if this area is used as a pack territory he would have to fight them for him homeland. Walking towards the sound he puts out all other noise from his head as he focuses on the last point of hearing the noise. Frost lumbers down to the pile of bones spotting a wolf he has never seen before. "May I ask why you are here?" He sits down and stares at the other wolf with two of his fangs showing due to them overgrowing and sticking out of his mouth hoping that he doesnt freak the newer wolf out.
He didn't expect to hear an answer but when one echoed back, Nightmare was a bit surprised. There was another in the area, unless there was more than one of them. Then he would have to keep watch. Ears twitched as Nightmare looked over to see another wolf. He must have been the one to answer. He watched as the other sat with a question. Giving a shake, he jumped down from his spot and sat as well while answering.
"Simply wandering is all. What is one like you doing out here?"
He asked as he kept an eye out. There was always the possibility of an ambush. Simply asking would only cause a lie if there was to be one. His eyes moved to take in the white wolf; unless the other had any skill those large fangs wouldn't do much good, any smart opponent would trick him into getting them stuck.
"I guide wolves out of the area and i teach certain ones how to fight and hunt, if your looking for a wolf you found one but im not here to fight only here to see what was brought to this baren wasteland,"Walks in the other direction. "well good luck finding a way out of here, if you need a guide just come find me," He walks away leaving his back completely exposed but knowing his reflexes he could easily counter and take this figure down.
"Best of luck to that one because it is an extreme place to train in, only hope that if that is the case he knows how to survive," As he continues to walk away he yells back, " Just so you know idiocy will get one killed out here, and if your looking at my fangs and my body it might not seem like im very skilled but living in these extreme conditions helped me hone those skills," He heads to his cave a few miles away.
So that's what he does. Interesting fellow. Nightmare scoffed lightly with a smirk, "Not looking for a fight. A simple walk in a somewhat familiar land is all." Watching as the other walked away, Nightmare turned away himself.
He laughed, "I've lived in a place as barren as this before. And survived. The only way to survive out here is to be tough enough. I wouldn't put it past your skills." Chuckling he called out as he walked further away.
"Perhaps we'll meet again someday! It would be quite an excitement."
